Objectives

By the end of this unit participant will be able to:

1. Explain what are the stands for
2. Outline at least three things the standards are expected pre-service teachers to know and able to do

• State the aims of the standards in relation to in-service teachers

1. Mention all the groups whom the standards were prepared for.
2. Describe four ways in which the standards can be used
3. Mention four sources used for the development of the standards and analysis reasons why those sources were used for the development of the standards
